What time will my movers arrive?
Usually whenever you need us between 9 am and 5 pm.
What happens if I have less items on moving day?
Patt's Moving will only charge you for the actual hours we work. The estimate is to give you a basic
idea of how long the job will take.
Do I have to empty file cabinets?
Vertical file cabinets can remain full, but lateral files must be emptied. The drawer slides on a lateral
file are not made to take the weight of the files during moving per the manufacturers.
Do I have to empty my freezer or refrigerator?
Yes, the freezer and refrigerator must be emptied to avoid the contents damaging the inside of your
appliance.
Do I have to take the mirror off my dressers?
No, Patt's Moving brings along all the necessary tools that are needed to remove and re-install any
mirrors attached to your dresser. Although, we cannot remove mirrors that are screwed onto a wall.
Can I leave clothing in my dressers?
Patt's Moving will move your dressers with the drawers in them. The only items that may be left in a
drawer is something made of cloth. Please remove all jewelry, perfume, and non-clothing items.
Do you charge from the time you leave your shop, or when you arrive at our place?
Our time starts when we leave or office, and ends when we return. This is normal practice for all
moving companies in the Omaha area. Our office is located close to the interstate. We can get to
most places in Omaha within 15 minutes.
Do I have to take my beds apart?
No, Patt's Moving brings along all the necessary tools to disassemble and reassemble your beds for
you. All of the bedding should be removed from the bed before the movers arrive.
Do you move out of state?
Yes! We are licensed to do interstate (out of state) moving. Call us for a free quote.
Do you do packing?
Yes. Packing rates are charged by the hour, plus the cost of supplies. Visit the Moving Supplies

Do you offer storage?
Yes. Please visit the storage section of our website.
Do you move pianos?
In some cases. Contact us for details.
Do you move hot tubs?
In most cases hot tubs require a specialized mover to move. We do move small hot tubs.t
What do you consider a large box and a small box?
We consider a large box to be one that a mover can only carry one box at a time. A small box means
that the movers can carry more than one box at a time.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, Patt's Moving is licensed and fully insured.
What type of payments do you accept and when?
We accept any of the following types of payment: Cash, Certified Check, Personal Check, Master
Card and VISA
Do movers get tips?
A lot of our customers do tip the movers to show their appreciation. For more information on tipping

Do you unhook appliances?
Due to insurance liabilities our company is not covered to unhook gas or water lines on appliances. It
is also recommended that you replace your old water line hoses on your washer when you move.
These can be purchased at most hardware stores.
Do you unhook electronics?
Due to the complexity of today’s technology our men cannot be trained in all the different systems that
are available today. Because of this we ask that you have all electronics disconnected from other
components before we arrive.
Do you require a deposit?
No, you move can be paid in full when the job is complete.
Do you charge a cancellation fee?
If you need to cancel your move due to weather, or maybe you just can't get in your new home
because of things out of your control, then no, we do not charge cancellation fee. We hope that you
reschedule your move a later date with us. If you cancel your for no reason, or just because you
decided to hire another company to do the move, we do charge a cancellation fee. We are a small
business and can't afford to have holes in our schedule. If you reserve a date, we turn down
business that we can't service, because we are holding that date your. If you then cancel the date we
charge a small cancellation fee of 50 dollars to make of for the missed work.
Will you remove or install air conditioners?
No, Patt's Moving cannot remove or install air conditioners due to insurance liability.
Will you dispose of items?
Patt's Moving does have the capability of disposing of any unwanted items for an additional charge.
Can I leave gas in my lawn mower?
No, due to liability issues, gas must be removed before loading.
Can you take the gas from my gas grill?
No, due to liability issues, we are not licensed to carry anything flammable on our trucks.
How can I move my hanging clothes?
Patt's Moving offers free use of wardrobe boxes to move your hanging clothes. We bring the
wardrobe boxes on the day of the move for you put your clothing in while we load the truck. You then
unload the wardrobe box at the new home and return the box to us. The wardrobe boxes hold 2 feet
of hanging clothes.
Note: Please let us know ahead of time if you need wardrobe boxes.
Will you move a piece of furniture within my home?
Yes, Patt's Moving provides a service to move a furniture within your home.
What happens if an item will not fit in my house?
There are times when an item will not fit at a new home. We will do everything in our power to make
that item fit, but we will not disassemble your home to make an item fit. If it does not fit, we will place
the piece wherever you request.
What about my pets?
We ask that you please have your pets locked up during the move. In most cases the doors will be
left open of your residence during the move, and we cannot be responsible for watching your pets.
